AFRDI is observing a concerning trend in product advertising.

Often websites make claims about products being AFRDI tested and certified when they are not, or in other cases, when our certification has expired and not been renewed. Sometimes one of our logos is included in the claim, other times it is a text-based reference to us.

These are ways to conduct your due diligence, and our advice to the industry is:

1. Ask the supplier for a copy of the AFRDI certificate, and review both the product description and expiry date;
2. Check the product is included in the relevant (regularly updated) list of AFRDI certifications freely viewable on our website;
3. Search for the product using the filter-based search engine on our website; and/or
4. Contact us direct with the queries you may have regarding the veracity of any AFRDI certificate.
